Machines vs. Monsters, home Wishlist

The Steam page is live

Machines vs. Monsters now has a page on Steam, and you can wishlist it there. A wishlist is the single most useful thing you can do for a small game before it launches: Steam uses them to decide who gets to see it.

What the game is

A roguelite tower defense. You land on a hostile planet, place towers to shape the path the monsters walk, and hold your Command Center against waves that keep getting harder. You will lose. Every run pays out stardust, which you spend in a constellation sky of permanent upgrades, and the next run starts stronger.

Every visual in the game is drawn in code. There are no sprite sheets: the towers, the monsters and the planets are shapes and light computed while you play.

What comes next

  • December 2026: a free demo, on Steam and as a short preview you can play right here in your browser.
  • February 22 to March 1, 2027: Steam Next Fest.
  • March 2027: Early Access.

The roadmap shows what is in the game today and what is still to come.

This diary

From October there is a new entry here every Thursday: what changed in the game that week, with screenshots. You can follow it with the RSS feed, on Discord, or on the Steam page, where each entry is posted as well.

Thanks for reading.
